Best thing I marked today: Isaiah 55:11-12
The Lord has all we need. When we hunger or thirst, he provides, not just sustenance for our bodies, but our souls. This is his promise to his people. The words of the Lord are not spoken as empty promises. They become his plans fulfilled, his purpose achieved. When his plan for us is complete, we will be joyous and full of peace.
The plans of the Lord being fulfilled called out to me in this chapter. I am about to embark on a new chapter of my life. It is scary, but I believe that this is part of God's plan for me. Verse 11 says that his word will not return empty, but what he desires will be accomplished.
Verse 12 is just bursting with exuberance! I felt this way when I received my acceptance letter. I literally jumped around and danced in my office, clapping with joy! I knew peace then because my recent struggles had an end-time. I know the degree won't be easy, but with his help, there will be beauty instead of pain.
